Web3 Hype?
It's easy to get caught up in the bubble where it is hard to figure out who is in it to make a quick dollar vs. creating the next version of the Internet. After reading the article, this quote by Gavin Wood:
Less trust, more truth.
This truth is the main reason behind all of the underlying hype is that at the end of the day, the blockchain is the ultimate source of truth. I believe that the world is heading in a way where it will be harder for people to hide behind the status quo or justify how they have been operating their business. People will have their own ETH/SOL/etc. wallets and the playing field will start to level out for everyone.
Understanding the NFL's Business Model

- The NFL are masters at taking a cost center (i.e., NFL Draft, potentially the NFL Combine) and turning it into a media event/profit center.
- One of the main reasons these owners want new stadiums built/threaten to move is that stadiums are one of the line items where the NFL teams do not have to share revenue with the NFL.
- The complexity of scheduling an entire season worth of games and the effects of using data + instinct.
